Krispy Kreme patron snags $5K worth of DOUGH-nuts
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- A customer at a North Carolina Krispy Kreme got something even sweeter than a dozen hot glazed doughnuts: $5,000 in cash. Police say a clerk at the store in Fayetteville accidentally handed over a box of doughnuts that also contained the store's cash receipts on Friday.
Grubb says as of Monday, no one has come forward to return the money.
