Found this the other day while killing time, it was sticking out the side of the hole I have going where I find lots of flakes and the occasional tool. At first I thought it was nothing, then i kept it because the shape made me think of a broken grinding stone, when I washed it off I was surprised to find it was not native stone. Im thinking Sioux quartzite grinding stone, but at the least it must have been a hunk of raw material they brought down from up north. I hesitate to say core because it looks more broken than worked. What do you guys think?

It probably is but no glaciers made it this far south so it’s been carried from farther north The closest and most likely place I know of would be Kansas City/ Lawrence area, this was found 2 hours south of there
