Neat story. I guess bits of WWII stuff still surface over there from time to time.

A few years ago, an old friend of mine was making arrangements to visit a friend who owns a scrapyard on the outskirts of London.

During the conversation, the Brit mentions that they found a "bomb" in his scrapyard. What my friend HEARD through the heavy accent, was that they found a "bum" in his scrapyard. She asked, "Well, what did you do with him?"

After a minute or two of confusion, and a good laugh, everyone realized that we a still two countries separated by a common language.

I have found quite a few arty shells here in germany, and 2 fuses.. never found any bombs though.
