I found this item while hunting a confederate camp site in Tenn..I had just previously dug two 58 cal. three ringer bullets with in5 feet of this item I think its a melting pot It measures three inches in diameter and very heavy cast iron and has some numbers and letters on the bottom any one ever seen one.
