Hi Jorge I'm thinking maybe it was for tents. The one I' found looks pretty old.

Hey!!! I used to work for a manufacturer that made those things. Funny thing is when my reserve unit was activated for Desert Shield, I found them in the deserts of Iraq, you guessed it....tent stakes. (actually all purpose). They should be aluminum.
