Mercury Error Dime???

Hi everyone!
Did a little hunting today with my Gold Bug Pro at an old
early 1900s abandoned house and picked up this 43 merc.
At first glance I thought maybe it had been damaged before being lost,
but when I got home and took a closer look I started wondering if it was a
mint error.
What do you think? I don't know much about error coins.
Its a 1943 with no mint mark

It was hit with something after being minted. There is nothing that could cause a mark like that during minting.
