Mercury Medallian

Hello Forum,

I was detecting out in the woods today, and I found many of the usual items iron nails, shotgun shell head stamps, lead bullets, and then I found this. I looks to me like mercury. Has anyone found one like this? I’m not sure what it is. Unfortunately I think it is aluminum. Thanks for looking!

Wow Don you are good! Mine is stamped, and the back is concave. I’m pretty sure mine is aluminum too. I wonder what it was from? Thanks for looking everyone!

I've never seen Marianne depicted with wings on a French coin though I am familiar with a medallion, such as TP's, that depicts the French Goddess Gallia with wings.
