METAL DETECTING A BRITISH CIVIL WAR BATTLEFIELD OF 1642 OUR LATEST FINDS

That's great stuff guss, well done! I have some musket balls I found detecting from the largest battle of the English Civil War fought on Irish soil, the Battle of Knocknanaus, which was fought in County Cork. I did my research ahead of time as well, your absolutley right, a bit of research first pays dividends. I plan on going back because I have now discovered where the armies camped and I want to detect the campsights.

The mould is a particularly rare find & so is the buckle. As you know there are plenty of CW nuts out there who would love those. (I know a few Sealed Knot) Keep digging 'em.

That was really, really nice. The music with it was perfect, too.

Looking at those fields now, it's so peaceful. As if it had never seen that kind of conflict.

thank you for posting it!
