So one of the places here in town that I've been drooling over for years has always eluded my permission...
This morning, I drive by in my work truck, look over....
And I see this BIG GIANT BULLDOZER..... First tear into the front porch...
Holy crap!!!....It's being torn down!
Panic sets in. I had all these big plans on up-selling my accounts, going the extra mile, and running extra stops to make my week easier.... So much for that....I gotta hustle!
So after blowing off responsibilities, skipping stops, and mailing it in.... I get to the site at 3:30. Workers say no problem, only after they leave at 4:00.... Sweet!
As expected, the site was a mess, but the front yard was relatively untouched, even tore up a little bit by the bulldozer and dump trucks...
And wouldn't you know....it was a clad fest.
The house was built in 1914, I know there are more goodies there, gonna keep an eye on it, hoping they will scrape off the top sod layer....
The only keeper, was this sweet Chevy tag, I think it's a hood ornament, and an old one at that.
After I post this, I'll look to see if I can get an age....from what I can tell, it has porcelain letters, or could be enamel....it's heavy.

And thanks for looking!
