These are finds from an old barnyard I got permission to detect. The largest coin is really hard to read and am not sure what it is? It is a little bigger than a silver morgan piece & you can faintly read "States" along outer edge. I also just got permission to go inside the house & basement. Would love any advice on hunting inside. These finds are from front/side yards.

The "Morgan" looks like a contemporary counterfeit. Most of the time they were made of pewter. Nice stuff.

Looks like you found a trigger from that gun you found the cylinder from too.

Great finds. The coins are nice! I also like the cylinder and trigger assembly! Thanks for showing us.

The caretaker told me it had never been detected before. So far I'm at about 70 coins, but most around 1970's.

Interesting. Thanks for the input! I found it near the creekbed about a foot down, under a very large root. It was a bit of an excavation getting to it. How contemporary were the counterfeits? I've been trying to get the limescale off it to read it better, but it's not going very well.

Nice site, what a cool assortment

If your finding 1970's coins silver is probably there too.
