I was detecting today at the site of a 1920's swimming and detected a aluminum pie pan that ended up being 15 inches in the ground. Is this common? I use a Bounty Hunter Elite 2200 and was shocked that it picked it up that deep. The ground was damp and I had the sensitivity turned all the way down. Here's the pics.
