Meiji Period Cast iron Elephant Google this I found a photo but can't get it come up ......Osage

Thanks! I did look up Meiji, and stumbled upon a few that sold at auction that looked exactly like my elephant, same size and weight. If that is the maker, the elephant dates back to the 1800s and has previously sold for thousands!

Yes yours would be worth more than the iron ones since its bronze.

Try a magnet and see if it sticks to it.It looks like bronze but the pads of the feet look like they have some rust.I am thinking maybe a bronze wash ...Anyway it is neat I like it......Osage iron.webpThis is the photo I found.I want one lol
