Any ideas what this pin is and how old it is?

It's a Boy Scouts of America "Tenderfoot" pin, dating it is rather difficult, as I think they made them for quite a few years.

The writing on the back and that pin style should help date it. My guess is late 30's to 50's.

Those pins are still made today but not like that.

The back says "BE PREPARED" and myabe "B SCOUT OF AMERICA"? Not sure about the second half.
