Hi,

I found these rocks and wanted to know if they could possible meteors. If you don't think so, could you try and identify these rocks?

Thank you!

Number 1: Magnetic. I cracked it in half slamming it with a flat head and hammer. Heavy for its size.

Number 4: Could have been used as a tool. Fits in my palm perfectly with finger markings. Heavy for its size. Was told it might be a meteor.

Sorry. No visual characteristics of meteorites. If there were any visual indicators, I would suggest presenting any suspects to a certified lab for evaluation.

Pick up a few handbooks. I find mine helpful.

Time for more coffee.

What are characteristics? I know people think that all meteors have holes (A.K.A regmaglypts), but that is false. If mine were meteors, they would have to be fashion crust. Thanks for answering with your opinion.

Always good to ask and learn I read an article about some guy who had a very very valuable meteorite and it was used as a door stop for many years before he found out what it was. Ya never know

Meteor is a object known as meteoroid which going by the Earth's atmosphere. When it hit at the ground it's call a meteorite.
All your rocks are probably kind of volcanic type.
