Hey guys, new silver hunter here. I've been searching for about 3 weeks and I've had my share of beginner's luck thus far. I saw a few of the member's logs here over the last couple of weeks so I figured I'd give it a stab. This log covers only half dollars, but I'm sure you guys would have known that! For me the search is enough of a reward to keep up my efforts. Here's my last couple days in detail:

The proofs in the last box are very interesting to me. I had gone to this branch before and got mwr from the same box about a week before. In that batch I found five proofs and upon finishing the box I found eleven more proofs. Has anyone encountered this before?

Nice finds! Your 5th picture looks like it was taken in the break room at work or something with the vending machine?? Be careful with how many or who knows what you are doing.

Nice finds! It seems like when I find proofs they tend to come in batches as well, but I've never gotten 11 in one batch of rolls. I think the most I've found is 4 from a box. Probably someone dumped a collection. The sorting and wrapping process mixes up the coins somewhat, but not very widely.

Agreed. If you are a serious CRH it means you are more likely to carry large amounts of cash on you, drive around with several hundred bucks in coin in your car, and/or have silver stashed at your home. You definitely don't want the wrong people knowing that about you!

Its all good as long as you store ALL your CRHing finds in your glove box. Nothing bad could ever come of that, especially if you tell a lot of people about what you do.

Kidding aside, keep this hobby to yourself as much as possible.

You haven't lived until you race another CRHer into a bank, lol....or get the evil eye from one while waiting at the merchant window.

I haven't even told my 3 best friends.....no reason for them to know because I don't think it is something they would be interested in anyway. I also live in an apt building so I try to be as inconspicuous as possible when carry boxs/bags of coin to and from the car.

Nice looking proofs, looks like they are all in nice shape. Your lucky to have found that many at once, I've found most of mine one at a time. Nice way to get your collection started.

I love the proofs! I wish I could find that many... The best I ever did was find 4 in a CWR one time... Now it's just usually one here and one there. Great going for a new CRH! Keep it up!

Thanks everybody. Ive got 31 40%a and this is only my third week, so I'm trying to keep on hitting. Any tips would be appreciated, I've got a bank that can order about four boxes a week and I'm setting up my consistent dump bank tomorrow so I believe I'm doing it right.
