Just wanted to share some micrographs that I have taken some years ago using a scanning electron microscope.


#1 is a salt crystal from dried sea water. The structure is called a salt hopper. #2 is a radiolarian. This is the shell of a single celled marine micro organism. the shell is composed of silica.
