Mid-century dump creek walk. Nice sterling heart bangle, remains of an aluminum LDS Mormon metal. Philadelphia and Camden ferry co token.

Detector(s) used
Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore mostly or oversized coil on equinox.
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
The person I collaborate with sometimes took me to one of her spots and while I tried detecting the creek, I was just getting on copper scrap. So I quit detecting and started combing the banks for wash out from erosion and a bit of digging.

Anyone know anything about the LDS metal?? It looks like it says something about member and has the Utah Temple?? On it?

Ferry token with hole is a Philadelphia and Camden ferry co which operated 1899 to the 1950s when the rise of automobiles and bridges made it obsolete. The sterling bracelet was a nice surprise and a first for me finding one of this type construction not all mangled up.

While I'm not LDS, I live in Utah and I've never seen a badge like that. A wild guess would be that it's to allow a member into certain parts of the Temple. But that's just a guess. Some Mormon's will pay top dollar for LDS church relics. Perhaps someone with more knowledge will come along.

Great finds - really like the Bracelet !

Nice find on the bracelet, any maker's mark?

Your other one is a dog tag.
Thank you for the id on the tag. Wish it was more intact but at least it has an id now. The bracelet has only the word sterling on the joint that holds it closed. No maker. I found one of similar construction on an long lived on former site of farm house and barn at the end of 2024. Unfortunately that one is pretty twisted up. No maker on it either.
