Met a guy who knows a guy, who met someone who owns... we've all been there and usually it means nothing. But today I was talking to a fellow I know casually and mentioned a couple of things I had found while detecting around Cedar Mountain and The Wilderness. He asked if I had ever done any detecting around Brandy Station (I have but not exactly with permission) I said no and he offered to introduce me to a gentleman who owns several hundred acres around the site
(Brandy Station was both the wintering home of the Northeren Army in the Winter of 83-64 and the single largest cavalry battle of the CW)
A personal introduction can't hurt. Maybe I'll get that chance we're all looking for. Wish me luck. If I do get permission, I'll post before I go.
