Milestone reached $500 in 40 percent Kennedy's
I stopped a local Wells Fargo to ask if they had any halves. One teller had a few and said he would look around. The teller next to him looked up and said "I have $180". She then produced a bag of rolled and loose halves. It took me forever to convince her to sell me all she had. Her reluctance was related to the fact that $50 of the collection wasn't rolled. I could see the silver as she stacked the coins and counted them. Every once in a while she would look at a coin and then put it down. The anticipation was a killer!
Ultimately I got $90 in 40 percent Kennedy's. This pushed my total clad silvers past the $500 face mark (a goal for me). I am still about $50 short from $500 face of 90 percent halves. It has taken me almost two years to assemble this collection. Interestingly, all the coins were found from customer wrapped rolls.
Now on to my next $500!
