I could use you button experts to tell me what I found. Two piece brass button missing the back, 21mm or 7/8" diameter. Military I presume? Navy? Marines? Coast Guard? How old? Thanks folks!

Best info I could find is USMC. Early Twentieth century

Seems to be a WWI Marine button.
