On my hunt last week with Treblehunter I found this odd silver plated thing. I now know what it is from. Holy smokes this is awesome!! It is from the neck strap of a 1812 shako head dress, US Military following the stove pipe style shakos of the 1812 design. for me I can't believe this, Treblehunter also found a 1812 artillerist button from the 2nd regiment in this field..

Pretty awesome guy Ole Brad is. Can't wait to hunt with him again, he commented on how he thought you were a alright guy yourself. We all ought to get to get her and do a hunt. :)

We are planning a group hunt in April. The B.O.B.S (Scrappy, eastcoasthunter21 & Bartek) are going to allow us to hunt on their turf, it's going to be a great time. I hope Brad plans on coming along. A few of the MDers that are planning on participating are real characters and will keep your spirits high. The fun doesn't stop when the hunt is over for the day. Great Times with Good Friends. To stay abreast of the hunt details I recommend you join the NYNJAS group. PM scrappy for an invite. Brad is already a member. It was a pleasure meeting Brad last spring. he took part in the evening adventures.
