My brother and I went out to a park and this was right on the edge of the parking lot as we were walking out for the day. It was pinging about 88 on my AT Pro and I actually thought it was 3 different coins since I had 3 distinct beeps when I slowly scanned it. We were super excited when we unearthed it and I never even knew they made these. Turned out to be from a 2010 issue but they was still really cool.

Better than finding a penny or any denomination but gold! Nice

Earning a buck a plug, who could ask for more.

Made my discovery of these things (the Lincoln) at the bank a couple days ago. The teller showed it to us and I noticed there was no year - also didn't have the words "E PLURIBUS UNUM". I asked the teller about it (younger girl) and she didn't have a clue! Even she did not know if it was real currency! :laughing7:

Nice find!!

I saw that as well but when I showed the coin to my Mom, she looked closely and found "E Pluribus Unum" and the date inscribed on the edge of coin. Pretty crazy!

Congratz! The gov mints 4 Presidential dollars a year since 2007. Here is the release schedule.

Thanks Paul. Hadn't gotten around to looking closely at the dollar rolls I got - only enough to separate the SacaG's from the Prez's. Pulled one out of the wrapper and, sure enough, there's the IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM and the date on the edges. Thanks for the release schedule.

Congratulations on finding your first modern "President Dollar Coin. "

I gotta quit this hobby because it's just too dang addicting!!!! :headbang:

Very interesting find! Congratualtions! :occasion14:
