Minelab Explorer SE pinpoint feature

I just a Minelab Explorer SE a few months back and took it to beach hunting a dozen times.
I found it is quite sensitive and gives good depth to coin hunting. But it seems the pinpoint feature is
not working well. i used Bounty Hunter, Garrett 1500 that has clear and crisp pinpoint fuction.
Does someone has any comment?

I agree.
the backround sound is very loud
and almost drowns out the pinpoint
tone. plus I need to use motion.

I Ignore pinpoint & just use the tip
of the coil
