Minelab F3 Metal Detector

Any body ever heard of a Minelab F3 metal detector, I saw an add on one for sale, he says its a military grade metal detector,water proof to 3 meters, that will detect things 8 foot deep...the picture he posted of it looks real close to there new 2300 model, the add says it cost $3.700 new...I cant find anything about it on the web ??

F4 sounds like a military given ID. I'd search minelab military etc etc

Yes, it is a mine detector designed for the military to demine. With an extra large coil, it can also detect unexploded munitions. There are two versions, one is a normal size and a compact size that folds down very small.

The most common one is the normal size. It has all the wiring in the shafts and folds up into a nice backpackable unit. It is a PI detector.

It will only detect to 8 feet if you have the UXO coil for it. Those coils are extremely expensive. Plus of course that depth is for really big objects, like bombs.....
