Alright so i was watching videos on YouTube on the minelab explorer and i saw them pull this pin pointer and its like attached to the machine im not talking about the mobile pin pointer but this one i see almost all people with minelabs using and i was wondering what its called and if it comes with the detector or not

It's a Sunray probe and no it doesn't come with the detector.

I have a Minelab Pro Pointer and love it. It was a freebie when I bought my detector through Kellyco.

You are talking about a sunray probe, but they stopped making them for minelabs.

The Sunray probe is an "inline" probe. There is a switch on the shaft of the detector. You can select the probe, or your main coil. So, if the switch is set for the probe, the probe takes the place of the coil. This allow you to get the sound and id numbers of your detector with the pinpointer/probe. I find that mine gets better depth than the handheld pinpointers too.

Had one on my safari, Didn't care for it so much. So I put it on eBay and turned a nice profit on it lol

They add to the already bad balance of the S shape IMO. Used one for 30 mins and sold it next day.

I haven't noticed balance issues with it on the e trac. I still prefer the handheld pinpointer, but will use the Sunray to help occasionally.
