Misc Byzantine Items

Hello all, I just purchased some Byzantine items from an antiquities dealer. They're going to be here in about two weeks, and are completely uncleaned. Does anybody have any recommendations on how to clean them once they arrive? I'm especially interested in cleaning the crosses, they are probably bronze.

I have never seen stuff like that. I bet old stuff like that needs some special kind of care.
I am sorry, beyond Dawn dishwashing soap, I am usless with you question. It is good you are asking.
Some may suggest not even cleaning. Some arrowhead hunters do not clean past blowing off the dust.

I know, right. Being an American, my oldest find is 300 years old. These are 1000 years old. It's just so cool and I don't want to wait.

The discs look like they might be toasted coins, but we will see.

Good news, I got the items. Bad news is they were shipped to my parents' house for some reason, so I won't see the artifacts until Friday. I'll update when I get them for myself.
