Detector(s) used
TITAN 3000 XD ,DFX, Minelab X-Terra 705 L Rods
Well got out yesterday but i seen that my dfx is missing shallow targets when it tells me its 4" deep or more its turn up to be 1" or just on-top how would i fix this to show better readings :icon_scratch: factory settings , coins programs with 9.50 coil.
And I was in pinpoint mode it turn out to be a dime and a piece of coke can which was 4" down I rechecked the hole after posting this. duh

Sounds like the ground has messed up your detectors ground balance somehow. If you were hunting mild ground, and went into a hot area,or vice versa, it could have thrown your detector our of balance. Even if you just balanced or it self balanced, there could be places close together with drastic variations in ground minerals. Just a guess. Happy Hunting. rockhound

Are you keeping your coil right on the ground or are you swinging it above the ground. It could be you are 3 or 4 inches above the coin when you are swing your coil. If you are right on the ground with your coil. Turn off your machine and turn it back on and go back threw your setting. I do this eveny 1/2 hour or so to make sure my machine is still in balance. As the ground will change as you go along.....Matt

on my dfx i used relic, pre amp 3....sense 72 ish ..and in 15 hz ...if you understand this.........found me tiny thin silver and copper coins in europe ,so wont miss much over there......the depth meter should be only a guide.
