Hello everyone. Had a good day digging today. Just wanted to post a couple of my finds today. I dug a Mississippi Tax Token today. Real cool. Now the thing that is bothering me is this round lead filled thing. Is it some kind of Bridal Rosette. I have tried to clean the front of it. It almost appears to have a triangle or a mountain. It is kinda hard to tell. Are there any Civil War period stuff that may look like this. See if any of you guys can tell from the pics. Thanks guys.

It is to big to be a button. I will have to post another pic for size comparison.

What could I use to clean the top of this with. It looks like brass to me. I would like to see if it has any markings of any sort.

Looks like it may have been a bridle rosette

yeap.

I found one very similar to the lead thingy. It had two small holes where the dark spots are on it and mine is a lead seal for an industrial electric meter. A wire went through the holes and it was clamped in place. Monty
