Missouri Rocks and Gems?

I'm new to Central Missouri, Fort Leonard Wood area, are there any rocks and gems to look for in this area?

FT lost in the woods ................its been along time since I was there. Heres a tip dont get drunk and paint male deer on the deer crossing signs because your bored! The state troopers down there dont think its funny.

As for gem stone hunting there is a place just past sprinfield to hund gems and diamonds.

If your on post go to the MWR place and they should have visitor brochures. I cant remmember the name of the place because I wasnt in to this at that time of my life but some guys went and 1 guy found a small diamond.

Are you talking about Crater of Diamonds State Park over in Arkansas... or somewhere in Missouri? If in Missouri, where??

I found some of the Mozarkite rocks in Warsaw that look much like the rocks found in Lincoln MO. Warsaw & Lincoln are in the same county.
