Model 1832 Foot Artillery Sword Grip

I found this recently in a farm field. It was roughly 12 inches down. It's only half of the grip, the opposite side was missing, as was the blade. It's a bit bent and broken. My friend and I searched the area thoroughly but we couldn't find anymore of the sword. I'm definitely happy to have this piece though. (the last photo is obviously just an example of what it looked like)
