Hey all,
Just pulled this button the other day 7 inches down.
No back mark I can see.
It was from and 1800's farm field turned
Modern park. Almost exactly in a 30 x 30 spot that
I cleared a ton of stuff from. Over 20 Wheaties ranging from
1919 to 1941 even one 1941 Canadian penny.
Over $4.00 bucks in clad. 7 old shot gun shells
Of course a ton of trash.
Ohhh also a possible Musket ball???
If you could help identify the button and confirm the musket ball
That would be amazing.
Thanks for the help.

Can't give a guess on the button, but I would have great faith in Crusader's assessment. PS- That certainly looks like a musket ball to me. Congrats!

Crusader is correct. It's a blazer button with an anchor motif. 20th century. I had a blazer with the same type button on it once. Therefore, it is not a reproduction, just something more modern.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

I agree with the others. I have found the exact same button, except mine no longer had a back on it. It is a nice button find though. Yours is in great shape.

If memory serves, that style back was first made in the late 19th century.

Thanks all, I kinda figured that when I did not see a back mark.
Well a military button is still on my bucket list then. Lol better head out and start looking. Thanks again all HH

Now for the musket ball, they were in use over 300 years. Try to get more info on your site, that may help. Dating them is problematic.
