I stopped back at the bank I went to last week that produced the full rolls of silver. This time I asked to purchase cents, nickles, and dimes and I said I doubt you have any halves since I bought all of them on Friday. The teller said I have rolls of halves, I was off on Friday,so you didn't get to purchase these. She had $120.00 halves.
Then I stopped at about 8 more banks and picked up more more cents, nickels, dimes and two additional rolls of halves along with some loose halves. The teller that had the loose halves said they are ugly and look like they have been burned; I don't know if you want them. I said I'll thake the ugly as well as the pretty halves. LOL The halves weren't burnt, just really tarnished.
One of the tellers at another bank said I have one halve and I bought it. Then she said I'd really like to get rid of this and holds up an IKE. Of course I said I'll take it. LOL
I searched approximately $320.00 in dimes, $60.00 in nickels, $90 in cents and $145 in halves.
My finds were pretty nice:
21 Wheaties: 1940(2),1941, 1942(2),1944(2),1944S,1945,1949,1950,1950D,1951D,
1952D,1953,1955,1956D,1957D(3),1958D
1944P War Nickel
1964 Dime
8-40% Silver Halves
4-90% (1964) Silver Halves
1974D IKE
I also found a worn Massachusetts transportation token in a roll of nickels.
