finally I got to the beach and was rewarded with 2 large cents, the really nice one is a coronet the other appears to be a draped bust but it has a hole in it. the other object appears to be a silver button. I dont see any writing on the button so if anyone knows I'd appreciate an identification.

wow :o, must be an older beach with a history. i've been searching for 33 years for my first large cent. maybe one day soon ;D

Where do you live? Large cents at the beach?? Wow, I guess, I've heard of seated found on florida beaches. Congrats.

Usually beach and copper don't get along very well. Was it an ocean beach? Would like to see better photos if possible. Congratulations!! ;D

Congrats that's awesome Large cents with the possibility of gold, silver, diamonds lurking in the sand what could be better

I'm on the south shore of lake erie in ohio. christ first I hope you get one too, with a moniker extolling the virtue of our lord I think you will. just keep at it. I found a smaller coin that is very worn and another "colour" button these are british made gilt buttons off uniforms circa 1750 or so. the smaller coin may be a half cent but it will need to be cleaned, at least I know for certain it aint modern. I just love the way it makes my detector sound when I hit something good.

happy hunting to all.
