An 1860's gold mining camp now covered by a reservoir providing water for Colorado Springs. In its day it had a population of around a 1,000 and the biggest dance hall in this part of the country. Looked over the Magnolia Mill. This one was rebuilt in the 1930's as they managed to burn the original 1860's one down. Sorry about no pics, but this site keeps telling me 'not a valid image file'. Use your imagination I guess.

Not hard at all to imagine. The biggest dance hall in all the Rocky Mountains with no women, but plenty of good liquor . :occasion14:

I am sure my imagination doesn't do your pics justice because you always give us some beautiful scenes, but Tamrock's pic makes me wonder just how many men passed through the original hall. I would imagine it was a very busy place in it's day.

Ah, success finally! I still can't correct the misspelling in the title.
