more 10 / buck "scrap" box finds & 3.50 for 10 & 20 centavo 1915 silver cuban
well I spent 4.50 today -- 3.50 of it was on two cuban small silvers the 10 and 20 centavo from 1915 -- scored the 1 centavo in the 10 for a buck box -- so I know have the 1,2,5,10,and 20 centavo set from the "first year" cuba was a "independent country" set cost so far $3.80 --(the 10 & 20 centavo are 90% silver)-- I saw a 1,2 and 5 set for 19.95 on eE BAY so guess I'm ahead -- I'm still looking for the 40 centavo and 1 peso (both marked 900M or 90% silver) to complete the set -- the other 9 "cherries" that I picked today were british (queen victoria)-- (2) farthing coins --one 1888 "young head"--one 1897 "old head"-- a 1901"old head" half penny in good shape-- french -- a bit worn 1855 -- 5 centimes Napoleon II of France --(last emperor & first president)--a rather nice --1898 2 heller coin from the Austrain Empire (ceased to exist after WW1)--- Germany--a 1887 german 1 pfenning & 1875 5 pfennig from the (william I era) --a very nice 1899 10 pfenning ("kaiser " william II era -- the last german emperor) and last but not least a nice 1905 United States of America / Filipinas-- one centavo in nice shape-- not big time coins by many folks "standards" but kind of neat old coins with a bit of history with em -- Ivan
