Back to the old river landfill for a stroll along the Bosque with our little red squirrel riding with us, she's our official fair weather adventure buddy. We did alright, scored some more vintage/antique bottles in killer shape, the place never ceases to yield the good stuff. We found an intact cobalt without having to excavate which is pretty damn rare, it's a bit saggy on one side from the repeat burns back in the day but it gives it character, many bottles are found in various degrees of meltedness along with the ones in prime condition. I have found other types of relics over there but it's really about the bottle action. I'm gonna get us a sifter or two so we can find the smaller trinkets more efficiently. there's so much in the deposit, possibly 10 feet deep in places and it covers an area no less than the equivalent of 4-5 football fields I estimate, possibly bigger. It's pretty incredible and always impressive.
