Two great hunts yesterday, first one in the early AM that revealed 4 wheats 1916, 1930, 1939, & 1940. Three early Jeffersons 1940, 1946 & 1953. The scallop tag thats either a tool tag or a pickers check, it seems to elaborate for a tool tag, it has the number 76. A true oldie thinking mid 1800s is the A. Benedict flat button with some gilt remaining. The last old relic was the old small Yale key maybe from the 1940s. The second hunt was much later in the day once the temperatures had reached into the low 60s, I brought my kids out to an other park, while they played I hunted. The first decent target was the funny looking piece that at first i though it was a scabbard piece just by the look, after some research and the amazing Facebook group ID ME it has been ID as a window blinds piece from the late 1800s, it even has the patent date. A dateless buffalo followed and then a 1949 Jefferson. A lone 1956 D wheat also showed up. The best coin from both trips has to be this 1887 Indian head cent i pulled towards the end of the hunt. Just before this I pulled two religious medals back to back a few feet apart. Among the very last signals was this super thin and fine sterling necklace. It amazes how the At Pro with the attack coil managed to hear this, it was about 6 inches deep, most of it was balled up so that probably helped. it gave a really faint high tone. I really thought there had to be a pendant or something with it in the hole but not it was just the chain. I widen the hole thinking i picked up some sidewall iron and nothing, it was just the necklace by itself. GL and HH to all.
