More finds from the sand pit for my Son and I

My 8 yr old son and I went shark tooth hunting yesterday and found these. I found the largest tooth, he found the most petrified wood. I found no petrified wood in fact.

Nice buncha fossils, and your son will always remember going out huntin' with you, too. It's good to see kids doing something besides playstation and wii's. I would have to pull a gun on my grandkids to get them out in the woods to hunt for "rocks"!

My 8 yr old is amazing. He takes after me when it comes to hunting with the eyes or detector. He collects rocks, fossils and finds anything I lose! It is HOT here too, doesn't bother him. On a trip back home to Minnesota when he was 6, we went out to a plowed field to look for Superior Agates. We hunted for at least 2 hours and he did not want to leave! Not to mention, he was finding more agates than me. He is a true adventurist and will probably be a Jaque Custeau when he grows older!
