MM and I went to the dairy farm and found some cool stuff. He found something AMAZINGLY cool! It's a surprise!

Here's what I found. Except for the deer antler. MM found that and gave it to me.
Spoon.webp
The spoon is sterling silver and the red car has almost all its paint and all four rubber tires! If someone has suggestions on how to clean the cars it would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

Ridley killed me again on silver finds today. He also found some cool Tootsietoys.
As far as my finds, I had a GREAT day. I'll post tomorrow when I get my finds cleaned up. Hint: I found a nice ring!
Me & Ridley had a blast today, and both found some great stuff.
2 acres down so far, and only 162 acres left to search! ;D

Looking forward to seeing it MM!

Hey Ridley... what year is the dime?

You did very well! congrats on the finds!!!

The dime is 1949.

The dark round disk is a flat button that has writing on the back and the aluminum disk is play money of some kind.

Nice stuff. Love those old cars. ;D Silver coins are also sweet.

It's great to have a partner to hunt with. Sure they might take some of the finds you would get but it's worth it.

Keep having fun you guys,

I posted this somewhere else, but can't recall where. The best thing I've found for cleaning inside small toy and other items with crevices, is a Water-Pic commonly used for home dental care, (moreso in the last decade). I've found these in thrift stores and bought one to try on just this sort of thing. I think I paid a buck for it and even though it was missing the top, which doubles as the reservoir, its proven invaluable. (I made another recervoir out of an old container of windshield washer fluid.)

From what I recall, the pressure these things put out is supposed to be up to 1600 psi, but its easily adjustable to reduce it down to a more suitable amount. They usually come with 4 nozzles which means you can modify the others to suit your needs. Just add water and mild soap, hydrogen peroxide , or whatever other cleaning agent you wish and spray the dirt away.

I also have a home ultrasonic jewelry cleaner, but I haven't been able to get it to perform very well. Good luck!
