More mystery items..

This is brass or copper and says J.Dreyfus Pat. May 1867 around the top. It came from and old home site. The top piece appears to be broken and the item is crushed as you can see. Any ideas Spout that went on a bottle or something?? Thanks....Henry

If it has threads, it may be a pour spout. It looks like an old car or tractor part that could have been a vent for something or a vacuum chamber that went somewhere. Both wold have been friction fit.

Hey Henry,

I'm not sure if this is it but the only patent in May 1867 to a guy named Isidore Dreyfus on Google patent search was an improvement to a lubricator patent #64956 on May 21, 1867. I hope this helps!
