Still the same ole place. Ill probably be posting stuff from this place for a couple of years. Once I finally dig all the iron out I know there will be some silver in there. You can't move my Ace 250 one foot without an iron signal even on the lowest sensitivity setting. The house is pretty big for its time. I think these folks were doing ok for themselves.

Very nice finds. I love the token. Your valve looks to be similar to one I found recently, which was a gas valve. Apparently these little guys caused many a house fire! Yours is in great shape. Beautiful bottles too! You did a great job cleaning up everything.

Thank you Grant. On items that I know aren't valuable, I kinda try a little of this and that just to see what works. The glass looks awesome because after I cleaned it I gave its coating of mineral oil. It will look great for months. HH

Yeah I think some of them are pretty old. The 3 different bluish white ones and one other orangish one are clay. I think that might put them to the 19th century.

Awesome finds.I like that valve and thimble. I found one of those old soap tokens just like that one.I don't believe mine says one game at the bottom, ill have to get it out and look at it again.congrats buddy.

mineral oil you say....

Yes, mineral oil does wonders to cover up the imperfections. It's just a mask though. I only use it for bottles I'm gonna display. Just be careful handling them. They get very slick.

To actually clean my bottles I use a handful of chopped up copper wire and cheap toilet bowl cleaner. Please do not take this as a professional opinion. It has worked well for me though.
