Had an hour and half this afternoon at the location where on Tuesday I dug the NY Militia officer's button and the brass closure pin from an ammunition pouch.

Got four more relics and the last one was down 9 inches.

Dug in order: a small brass rivet IMG_6855.webp

then what looks like a carved roundball IMG_6857.webpIMG_6858.webpIMG_6859.webp

got a Corbin Cabinet Lock Co key, New Britain, Conn. IMG_6853.webp

Last good target was deep, 9 inches, and it is a mystery piece IMG_6860.webpIMG_6862.webpIMG_6861.webp

Congrats on your finds,
The mystery piece looks like possibly a brooch the you were able to put a picture inside of.

Interesting finds McCDig. At first I thought "heart thingy" was a picture frame you would put a picture of a loved one and lay on a ladies make-up table. But, I noticed a little hole on the bottom - must be for something else...

Very cool finds, congrats!

The broach may have had an enameled portrait inside. That's an image painted on metal with a ceramic paint and then fired.

"And in his pocket was a portrait of the Queen"

With the holes in it I, thinking auto or bike badge and the inside piece is missing nice posr and relics

He likes to keep his fire engine clean,
It's a clean machine…

Nice variety of finds. The carved musket ball is a great find. Congrats.
