I went back to my favorite Park this afternoon because it's very shady and the temp here in Central Ny was 90 degrees today and I'm glad I went...I found 2 silver coins...the first was a 1943P silver Wartime Nickel (not it's not the double die 1943/2P; I checked online and it ain't it).
After finding some clad I hit on a good but weak signal. It checked out as a coin, so I dug it...it was a 1950 silver Washington quarter. My birth year and I'm sorry to say I scratched it with the digger...I need to stop doin' that, it's the 3rd coin I've scratched with my new Lesche digger! I think I might dull the point on it...and try to learn to use my pinpointer first before digging deeper in the hole...Hopefully I'll figure it out.
