I went back to where I found an 1892 o barber dime last week. A heavily wooded area hard to hunt but easier digging with other areas partly frozen. I got two silver dimes, an 1875 seated and a 1901 barber. Two toasted nickels, a shield and a 1903 v. Also what I guess is a sterling cuff link? A sterling handle probably to a brush or comb. I found a broken piece of metal comb nearby. I like this one even though its hollow and in two pieces. Looks like it says sterling H. Also two flat buttons. One says E Pluribus Unum H. Meriton on the back. Google says its an 1834 Campaign button. Something to do with the Whig Party. Interesting button plain on the front. The other says Best Quality with a symbol that I think resembles an eagle? Also a larger decorative item that's got me guessing. It was a good hunt and I was glad to get some keepers. Everything was deep with iffy signals and thick ground cover so it was a lot of work. Work I'd gladly do again though! Good hunting 100_14201_zps760eab42.webp100_14211_zps18713723.webp100_14221_zps97a7506c.webp100_14231_zpsa7911cba.webp100_14241_zps25141c45.webp100_14251_zpsb0631006.webp100_14261_zps55492520.webp100_14271_zps0f213aaa.webp100_14281_zps4bf70584.webp100_14291_zps80f54bb5.webp100_14401_zps2c8ea999.webp100_14391_zpsaa417cf9.webp100_14301_zps0d32928c.webp100_14321_zps9b6fd16b.webp100_14101_zpse35410d5.webp100_14091_zps599cdb63.webp100_14141_zps7ee683e6.webp100_14131_zpseac6fc9a.webp100_14121_zps2f42f332.webp100_14171_zpsb0393966.webpfolder.webpunknown.webp100_14181_zpse0946ada.webp

Very nice finds. Lots of silver and old coins to boot! Good show.

I like the girls head,clean her up,it ought to look and shine nice.I would fashion something out of it myself,it's pretty cool.

By the way,you've got some cruddy soil for silver dude!

GOD Bless Chris

that's a lot of nice silver there! The "cufflink" may in fact be a "tuxedo stud" or some other kind of stud. I found a 10k gold one and thought it was a cufflink too at first. But after hearing others chimed in, a stud made more sense. Congrats!

Awesome finds! An impressive silver haul! Congrats!
Nice hunting ground you have!

Great old area - nice finds ! I'd love to have an old wooded area like that to hunt .

=============================================================

I used the end of a spoon for a zipper fob. Drilled a hole in it and added an small key ring. Makes me think of the hobby each time I put that coat on.

Sterling Silver from the ground without having to mine it or refine it. How do you beat that?

Gotta love the silver.

I found a similar handle on an old 1800s Ca gold rush foundation. I have 1 side only. Very nice dig.

Nice variety of finds! I love the sterling bits :treasurechest::thumbsup:

Awesome ID Ia.FurTrade! I was hoping someone would chime in on that flowered handle. It is indeed a cruet handle! Not only that but my google search turned up the exact one dated with company name + photo. Bravo! I never heard of a cruet. Thanks!:icon_thumright:unknown.webpcruet set.webp8899_1313096962_2.webphttps://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/d...-meriden-silver-plated-cruet-set/id-f_551092/
