Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Headed out this afternoon to a new spot, was the site of a church way back when...spent about an hour there and came up with notta, lots of iron...lots of canslaw...So on to another site..the next site is another new one for me,there are actually two homesites on the 80 acres,I concentrated on one of them for tonight...It was a good walk back to it,and on the way in I dug a wheat......I spent about two hours hunting till dark and below are my finds....included is the best bell I have ever dug and my first Flying Eagle Cent 1858 :headbang:

other finds include
pewter spoon end
pewter handle pieces
thimble
latern piece
small buckle
piece with heart designs engraved

When I dug the FEC I thought it to be another wheat, except the tone was low and the numbers were off,,it was not till I arrived home did I discover what it was...

Have Fun Out There Folks...

Wonderful digs Scott! Congrats on that Flying Eagle

Very cool bell  My mother & her brother (my uncle) each wore a bell
