One of the thrift stores I frequent dumps donated watches in a plastic tub and marks them all $4.99. All the good stuff is picked through pretty quick and the crap watches will sit in it for weeks. Finally yesterday they added a few more. 99% are modern cheap fashion watches and rarely have I found anything vintage mechanical. Still the earlier battery watches can have some good value and there are folks out there seeking these styles of 20 plus years ago. This Timex Zulu I dug out caught my attention and with a quick search on ebay sold prices let me know I got a real sleeper here. I've done pretty well selling some of these early battery watches and what makes them valuable is many were made in limited amounts for a short period. This make them in the mind of collectors rare to obtain.

Very unusual Timex. Never heard of one of these before. I do know that any Timex Ironman I get that I list of eBay I sell. Not big money but solid sellers.
