MORGAN DOLLAR

Past three might have been GOOD. They tore out a parking lot and I’ve spent the past theee nights detecting it. First night netted a couple relics some crusty pennies and a counterfeit 18k ring. Next night the six-inch coil scooped up an 1874 Canadian quarter and some other fun stuff. Today they gutted the lot, a GIANT hole in the center for sewer pipes and piles of deep dirt all around. Tonight all I found there was a lone wheatie. As I was leaving i remembered seeing an intersection with the sidewalk ramps torn out. I almost skipped it but am glad I didn’t. I dug a Barber Quarter and an 1890 MORGAN DOLLAR!

The back is kinda crusty but I don’t care

Sidewalk ramp tear-out have never produced for me

Stretches of sidewalks have produced finds for me but just the ramps torn-out have not. That’s why I almost skipped it.
I actually think these might have been in the sandy fill they dumped in the absences of the curbs. It was stirred around enough I don’t know....

Outstanding hunt squirrel, I am always on the lookout for where they had the old wooden boardwalks. They are very good spots. Glad you have some good ground to cover. That Morgan is a beauty!!!
