My friend and I headed back to a large lake on the Idaho/Utah border on Wednesday. The weather was bad, with wind from the West blowing snow in my face, froze my hands but that's how it goes. First ring I found was the LDS ring, 14K with ice...unfortunately not diamonds, but good gold and just 3 grams. Second ring was a small sterling band. Finally the clouds cleared out and the wind died down, and it turned into a really nice day. Third and fourth rings I found within 5 minutes of each other, but just junk tungsten carbide. The last ring is absolute junk but was a deep signal, brass and pot metal I guess. I found a bunch of coins, a massive amount of old pull tabs, and the other usual junk. My friend found 2 aluminum children's rings. My dog had a blast running wild, so overall it was a good trip. HH P1010798.webpP1010801.webp

I found a larger one with those letters on it when i was like 18 - 1991
in middle of a football field - just thought it was a club in the school or something - did not know it was mormon

I like gold rings with lettering on them kinda tells a story

"wind from the West blowing snow in my face"
Really? It was 89* here in Central Fl today with a lovely ocean breeze...... Just sayin....

Sometimes it doesn’t come easy. Looks like the hard work paid off. Congratulations!

You stayed out in the blowing snow and were rewarded. Congrats.
