Morter & pestle(s) garage sale find

Was on my way to go detecting on my bike and passed a garage sale with some interesting looking things so I turned around and stopped to have a look.An old man with wiskers down to his waste sold me these three pestles and small morter for $20. He said they were found by his pappy over a hundred years ago in Miwuk country in the Sierra Nevada.We hit it off and he threw in a couple other antique items I was eyeballing. Found nothing detecting afterwards but these sure quenched my treasure thirst.

I know nothing about this type of item. However I do realize the historic significance of them. Great finds.
