I hunted a school today that my dad found a few days ago. It's loaded with clad, but I actually went there to try to find silver. I gridded out the field and wasn't turning up a damn thing deep or old for about 2 hours. So I switched gears and started coin shooting. Most of the real heavy clad was dug in the dark. I was getting tired of digging quarters and dimes so I made a b-line to my car. I couldn't stop finding quarters.

There's still a bucket full of coins there to which I'm leaving all for my dear 'ol dad. He can have all of the flying ants too! Those things were all over me every time I squatted down low to the ground, which is the biggest reason I was making a b-line to my car.

Anyhoo, check out the loot below:

I ended up with:
$8.16 in clad: 25 quarters, 18 dimes, 11 pennies, 1 Photon Token, 1 Key, 1 Junk Bracelet, 2 Radical Zips, and the side of a matchbox car.

I believe I have taken the lead with most clad found in one day, between my brother and my dad and I. If my dad went there tomorrow he could double that easily if he grids out the right areas ;)

My net gain was about $2 considering how far away the school was.

LOL! Yeah I know they are not worth anything, but I'm finding enough ofthem to start collecting them. It is kind of interesting when you pull one out too.

Thanks, I'm starting to get the hang of it. The ace would have helped my sore back during the coin shooting, but I would rather have the Sunray probe. The ESP is kind of overkill for coin shooting.

Thanks guys, but my dad still has me beat on number of quarters in one day... 26!

You better go back and check my past posts there Rootmaster!

I LOVE Zipper Pulls!!!!!!

I wasn't being mean or anything. I haven't found very many this year yet. They are special to me, I really am serious about this.

You did good!

Cool! Well you'll appreciate this then...

When I dug the first one I didn't know what it could be, and when I saw the bright blue zip I was like, "sweet!" and promptly put it into the treasure side of my apron. When I got the green one I thought, "awexome! Two zips in one day and such variety."

Zipper friends til the end!

Looks like a great time was had at this hunt! Nice when you can walk away with enough $$ to pay for the gas to get there.

The way you drew in the rest of the car gave me a good laugh. Thanks!

PHOTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved that game! I have a lot of Photon memories both on the range and behind the building with the ladies

Consider a swingy thingy, or a homemade version like i showed you... Today I forgot mine and was swinging the Se for almost four hours...only $3.88 in clad nothing old...but yeah the arms are sore tonight....but I need something for as much as I have been getting out...

Yes I'm definitely getting one. I just need to find a place to order the swingy thing, a rain cover and a 36" Lesche Groundshark. Ebay I guess.

On Saturday, my 100 coin day, I was swinging the ESP from 8am til 9pm!!! Then yesterday was swinging for another 5 hours! I actually started to feel ILL today because of it I think. Gotta rest for a while while the swingy thing is in transit.

How much would that suck to blow a disc or something in your back while metal detecting. Not hard to imagine happening either. The way I squat down I'm putting a lot of stress on my left foot, and it feels like I dropped a TV on it now. By the end of yesterday on the hunt, I was kneeling down and flipping my left foot upside down (heel up). That was better but still not ideal.

I do the same thing...metal detect till I am sore... Today my last day before my shift change...I spent another 4 hours and ended up with $4.98....it all adds up...but for the next month my hunts will be quite a few less then normal.

As far as the items you are looking for maybe check with a forum sponsor, or do a search on internet...sometimes when you say you need a few things...one of the sponsors or someone else will step forward and send you a personal message....

Well good luck and maybe limit you hours per hunt... I have really been pushing it lately, knowing I will not get out as much...but I noticed hunting faster I did not hit anything deep or old the last few hunts....oh well...

That Jacket is cool!!!! If you can find one in a 4XL I would detect in it!!! :-\ ::) :D

Way to go on the clad; I know you aren't real happy with it but I would love to find that much at one school. Congrats.

Maybe it came off a little unhappy, but believe me I was happy at the total. When I was there it was just a real chore to get those quarters in the muggy dark with flying ants all over me. I really wanted to go back to my car to get my headlight, but I knew that once I was away from the ants I wouldn't want to come back (especially with a light on my head!).

It will be some time before I total up over $8 at one location!

When I was in Florida for 4 days, I didn't even total that much clad for the whole trip which was easily 40+ hours of metal detecting.

Thanks! HH :)
